16. Academic History
At GCSE and level 3 I have studied media and
produced a variety of things from magazines to
music videos, I have learned how to use premier,
audition, photoshop, illustrator etc and I am
now confident in producing most forms of
media.
17. Current Study
My current course in creative media production
has helped me learn how to make more
expressive pieces of work and helped me learn
where my skills and interests are best catered to
in the industry. I have realised I work best
creating something on a topic I already have
knowledge on, this is primarily fashion and
social media. So I have decided that marketing,
digital marketing and fashion are the main
things I want to do.
18. The Future
I want to work for a big company running their
social media accounts, or work for a fashion
brand/ magazine. I think this would be the most
enjoyable career for me. University is the best
way to gain more knowledge on these subjects
and help me get a better job in the industry.
19. Outside College
Outside college I have had numerous part time jobs where I
have had to work in teams, no matter what I have always
easily made friends and worked hard, because of this I think
working as a team is something I want to be doing in my full
time job. As well as this my 2 main hobbies are fashion and
video games, this makes any job in fashion appealing to me as
I am always doing research and trying to keep as up to date
with it as possible, something I do for fun now and something
that would directly help me if I worked in this industry. As well
with video game I feel talking to a diverse amount of people
online all my life has helped my social skills and has also
helped me learn a lot about different cultures and how to talk
to all sorts of people.
20. Conclusion
I want to go to university as I want to succeed in
life and get a good job, university is the best way
in my eyes and it also presents opportunities I
wouldn’t be able to experience if I didn’t go. I
hope it will help me achieve a good grade and
help me get a good job which I will genuinely
enjoy, rather than just working for the money.
