GENERAL STATEMENT:
I am interested in the use of communication media to educate audiences (road users) about road
safety and in changing their risky behaviour.
Career focus (areas of interest)
To plan, propose and design social marketing campaigns and strategies for public relations
departments in all government and private sector organizations including media organizations.
PROFILE:
Over sixteen years experience in road safety field in different positions including social marketing and
Public Relations departments. I have been a police officer in the Special Forces for Road Security
since June 1998. I have moved between different sections/positions in my career such as field work,
supervision of patrol works, management, public relations department and spokesman for Special
Forces for Road Security in Saudi Arabia. I have experience in planning for and designing social
marketing campaigns, and media and public relations strategies for the organisation.
I am experienced in selecting target audiences for social marketing campaigns, designing campaign
advertisements, selecting the right appeal in the campaign advertisement, utilising the right mediums
to reach target audiences successfully and effectively, and in the evaluation of social marketing
campaigns.
This experience is supported by academic knowledge in these fields obtained from my previous
studies at the Masters and PhD level, and from teaching such subjects (advertising, social marketing,
communication skills and public relations) at various institutes and colleges in Ministry of Interior. I
have used my own personal experience, management skills and knowledge to improve departmental
effectiveness and increase staff productivity by introducing innovative ideas for encouraging
personnel in all departments where I was the responsible officer. My experience has been valuable in
improving organizational reputation and productivity, and in meeting or exceeding customer
(audience) and high level mangers’ satisfaction by managing and implementing large social marketing
and public relations plans.
