Our team met with 68 corporates during Dec 2013 – Feb 2014. Based on our indepth interactions with the
Corporates and their L&D priorities for the coming year, some of the needs resonated repeatedly. We thought
why not share the findings with all of you. Isn’t it what shared learning is all about !
This document is about Top 5 needs which we will share with you . In addition, to these 5 needs, their was an
almost common need to make the learning relevant to workplace.
This document is a summation of those needs and also share with you some potential solutions that may help

Payal Gupta is an organization development consultant and executive coach. She works with the intent to help individuals and
organizations setup for success and explore their potential to be future ready. We work with CXOs, Founders, senior managers
and board of directors; Large Corporates, family run businesses, MNC’s, Government run organizations we work with them all.
As an Organization Development Consultant, Payal, focuses on systemic change management, organizational development,
leadership development, creating team synergy, building organization culture and facilitating large group work. She works with
various industries like manufacturing, media, printing, IT, education, FMCG, Real estate, Insurance, Non-profit sector. She also
teaches Organization Development to L&D and HR heads.
Payal holds a MBA in Human Resources, she is a Certified Coach, Certified Organization Development Consultant, a Masters in
English Literature, has completed her Entrepreneur Development Certificate from Indian School of Business (ISB), Applied
Behavioral Facilitator, Appreciative Inquiry Practioner
She has
Rajiv Misra is an experienced facilitator with over 3100 hours of facilitation to his credit . His focus areas are leadership
development, managerial capability building, organizational assessment, development and organizational re- engineering. Rajiv
has worked on diverse interventions in the arena of organizational culture transformation, establishing competency framework
for supervisors and delivered workshops on competency and leadership development. He specializes in managerial and
leadership development interventions and assessments.
He has been a key anchor in three major organization re- engineering initiatives. Some of the organisations he has worked are
Wipro (Head HR BPO – West India) and Hexaware KPO (Head HR). He is an alumnus of MDI, Gurgaon. Currently, Rajiv is
pursuing a fellow programme in organizational development from AHRD Ahmedabad where his topic of research is leadership
interventions. He is the Pune chapter President of International Association of Coaches (IAC). He is also a certified from AHRD
to design and run Assessment and Development Centres.
Sandeep Kaul specializes in improving, enhancing and transforming individuals. He founded WhiteLight Consulting with the
objective to Consult.Inspire.Engage. business leaders in Corporate India. All of his engagements are bespoke and driven by hard
research.
Sandeep Kaul is an alumnus of Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon with 17+ years of extensive cross-functional
business experience with organizations like ICICI Bank, Future Generali, MetLife and BNP Paribas. He has held senior positions in
these organizations centering around direct P&L responsibility, business development, product management and operations.
He has spent substantial time developing the Business Storytelling practice and Executive Coaching practice. He has more than
220+ hours of coaching experience. He has done coaching for business leaders from hospitality, FMCG and BFSI sector.
His core expertise is in using Arts for OD purposes, incorporating creativity into business and Leadership Coaching.

A communications major from Symbiosis Pune. Shreyanka joins the dots between research, communications, consumer
culture and business.
With over a decade of marketing insights consultancy behind her for clients such as Nestle, Nokia, Airtel, Star TV, Radio Mirchi
etc, she brings to the table a host of specialist qualitative techniques adapted to enable firms discover new paths.. Her work has
been experienced by Corporates such as Bharti Airtel, Radio Mirchi, Reckitt Benkiser, Canara HSBC Oriental Insurance.
She is a also a visiting faculty for consumer behavior, qualitative research, media studies, advertising at IIM – Lucknow, IIM,-
Indore, Management Development Institute, Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, National Institute of Fashion
Technology etc.
She has also conducted Management Development programs for
working professionals on research based studies at IIM Lucknow.
Om Katare founded Yatri theatre group in 1979. Om has to its credit 60+ productions and 4800+ performances both in India
and abroad over the last 33 years.
Om uses techniques which are safe, supportive and non-threatening like role play, improvisations, practical scenarios, staged
performances, facilitated sessions – where a positive outcome is tested by acting out the solutions – to encourage change.
Some of the corporate clients that he has worked with are Hindustan Lever (Theatre was integrated with their 2012 business
roll out plan), TCS ( Product launch of their accounting software for domestic market), HT Media, Shopper’s Stop etc.
Priyanka Kaul is an alumnus from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi. She has implemented design and
creative initiatives in multiple business organisations. She has had global experience in the textile industry. She has been a
trainer and visiting faculty at NIFT and Wegan & Leigh. Since the last 7 years, she has been associated with the Arts scene in
Mumbai. She has won the META award in 2011 for theatre excellence. She has a passion for performing arts including theatre,
dancing and music. She is also a Reiki Energy Healing practioner (Level 3).
At WhiteLight Consulting, she is focused on creating engagement designs that blend management and arts.

Rajesh Trivedi has over a decade of corporate experience. He holds Post Graduate degree in Human Resources Management
and also completed Organization Development certification program. Rajesh during his corporate stints is involved with

Strategies and process, establishing organization culture and values.
Some of the firms that Rajesh has been associated with are Cadila Healthcare Ltd, Fortis Healthcare Ltd , Hutchison Essar ltd
and Boehringer Ingelheim (Head HR) . His forte is in areas of conducting management alignment, team building, personal
and organizational effectiveness enhancement.
Avantika Akerkar specializes in improving, enhancing and transforming individual and corporate communication styles.
She has run multi-faceted programs for diverse portfolio of clients that range from the Aviation Industry (Jet and Kingfisher)
and the Hospitality Industry (The Taj Group of Hotels, the Indigo group of restaurants) to Banking (Deutsche, BNP Paribas
and more) and Investment Houses (JP Morgan, DSP Blackrock). Her experience in the pharmaceutical industries for
Novartis and Cipla, has led to over 2,000 participants benefiting from the workshops. She has also worked with IT
Companies (Tata Interactive Services, Accenture, Wipro and Infosys) and KPOs.
Her workshops are non-traditional using a combination of both theoretical and practical experiences. She is able to draw
upon her vast experience gained in both the corporate and not-for-profit sector in the fields of public relations and
program planning. Avantika also uses her skills in the dramatic arts to bring the workshops ‘to life.’ She is completely

Some of the firms that Rajesh has been associated with are Cadila Healthcare Ltd, Fortis Healthcare Ltd , Hutchison Essar ltd and Boehringer Ingelheim (Head HR) . His forte is in areas of conducting management alignment, team building, personal and organizational effectiveness enhancement. Avantika Akerkar specializes in improving, enhancing and transforming individual and corporate communication styles. She has run multi-faceted programs for diverse portfolio of clients that range from the Aviation Industry (Jet and Kingfisher) and the Hospitality Industry (The Taj Group of Hotels, the Indigo group of restaurants) to Banking (Deutsche, BNP Paribas and more) and Investment Houses (JP Morgan, DSP Blackrock). Her experience in the pharmaceutical industries for Novartis and Cipla, has led to over 2,000 participants benefiting from the workshops.
