support military veterans with posttraumatic
stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain
injuries (TBIs).
More than 2.4 million men and women have
deployed to serve the country since the events
of September 11, 2001, and studies indicate
that a rising percentage of military veterans
return with PTSD or aTBI.These growing
numbers make it increasingly difficult for
veterans to access timely and effective mental
health treatment for invisible wounds such as
PTSD andTBIs.

Network
• TheWarrior Care Network addresses the
issue through a partnership between
WWP and four national academic medical
centers: UCLA Health, Rush University
Medical Center, Massachusetts General
Hospital, and Emory Healthcare.
The partnership enables the Warrior Care
Network to connect veterans with world-
class care and focuses on reaching
veterans that might otherwise go
untreated due to gaps in government
care.Through the network, veterans
receive referrals to partnering hospitals
for evaluation and treatment at no cost.
Additionally, the program covers travel
expenses for veterans and their family
members.
