During this time I lead a team of 14 with diverse skillsets supporting over
20,000 Unix and Linux servers in Walmart’s Home Office and
Distribution centers remotely. The technologies we supported were
SLES 11, AIX 5.3 and 7.1, HP-UX 11.
Accomplishments
● Responsible for standing up this team. I was involved in the
hiring process and setting up the initial structure of the team.
● Worked closely with Walmart to gather information and
documentation about the environment while we transitioned the
support to our desk.
3rd Shift Lead Store Windows Team, (Supporting
Walmart)

Leading a crew of 4 we monitored and maintained 25,000+ Windows
servers in remote store locations. we performed hardware
troubleshooting, operating system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Also we assisted other teams with troubleshooting their software on our
systems. Used Remedy ticketing system and worked with Walmart’s
Field Support team and other vendors to resolve the issues. Windows
versions supported: Windows NT4, 2000, 2003, 2008 and 2008 R2.

● Assisted in creating a customized tool-set (using Perl scripting)
for our team to help accelerate our troubleshooting.
● Created a collection of scripts that collect data for trending and
monitoring by extracting data from Remedy using Perl to collect
