2. Are you just plain
frustrated your home
business isn’t taking off
like you wanted it to?

3. I’ve been there. I didn’t get much help in the
beginning and had to learn everything on my
own. If you were desperate like me to grow
your business fast you probably put your biz
link everywhere you could.

4. Turns out that network
marketing is like any other
business. If you treat it
seriously it will work, if
you put in the work.

5. If you joined an MLM based on someone
making huge claims about earning $50,000 a
week on autopilot you were probably
mislead, and it’s a shame there are marketers
out there deceiving people like this and
giving the network marketing industry a bad
name.

6. Network marketing is a huge
legal industry that grew 5% last
year to a record-breaking $135
Billion dollars. It beats out many
other large mainstream
industries including the NFL.

7. Yes, there are hundreds of legitimate
network marketing companies online, but
there are also thousands of illegal Ponzi
schemes online. If the business offers you
100% commissions and has no consumable
product, it’s probably a Ponzi Scheme, so stay
away because those get shut down.

8. Once you sign up into your home-
based business, you hopefully
found a product or service that
you love and have no problem
talking to people about it.

9. The whole concept of network marketing is
called word-of-mouth marketing, as in like
sharing a great movie with a friend. If you can
share a great movie with a friend, you can
share a great product with a friend.

10. Your prospecting for your business should
feel natural like sharing something good,
instead of pushy car salesman style. If you
can talk to people about your business in a
natural confident but relaxed style, you are
on your way to growing a great business.

11. In the beginning of my network marketing
career, like I said, I didn’t get much direction
from a sponsor, so I watch every video on
YouTube and read every book on Amazon
about network marketing.

12. It prepared me for what I was about to face
when I started developing my business: a lot
of people saying “NO.” No was a very scary
word in the beginning of my career, but I
realized from those videos and books that all
the MLM Leaders had heard thousands of
“No’s” but kept going!

13. The difference between a
successful leader and a bum on
Skidrow is that the leaders get
back up after a failure. A failure is
simply a temporary setback and if
you don’t quit you can’t fail.

14. Leaders learn that a
temporary failure is not a
personal attack against
them, but an opportunity
to learn something from it.

15. I can tell you that whenever I struggled the
most at something, I learned the most. There
is no easy road to becoming a millionaire or
wildly successful in this industry without a
lot of self-development and an unselfish
desire to help improve other people’s lives as
well.

16. If you love helping people,
your business just got a
whole lot better and will
grow even faster.

17. Back to the posting your biz links
everywhere. I wasn’t getting a lot
of interest from people just
spamming my links everywhere,
even though I had over 200,000
real followers on Twitter.

18. Something dawned on me. I wasn’t providing
any value to anyone. Everyone mostly
operates in “what’s in it for me” mode and
when they saw my blatant spammy links
there was nothing in it for them. I didn’t offer
any content.

19. If you want to grow a successful network
marketing business you have to become an
authority. An authority figure is someone
who has mastered something people want.
What do people mostly want when they start
a home-based business?

20. They want “Leads” and
techniques on how to grow their
business. How do you learn these
things? By testing and more
testing and trying things out and
seeing what converts into
interested prospects.

21. Like I said, I had over 200,000 followers on
Twitter and thought for sure that I would get
most of my Leads from Twitter, but when I
finally put analytics on my links I discovered
a completely different story.

22. I realized most of my Leads came from my
blogs and from the direct message I sent out
to people when they followed me on Twitter.
I hardly got any Leads from the actual
“Tweets” themselves.

23. If I was lazy and didn’t
care about A/B Testing, I
would still be in the dark
and making no money.

24. You have to care about your business. If you
think you can post a couple things on
Facebook and walk away and earn
thousands from it you’re kidding yourself.
Think of starting a home-based business like
earning a degree in college.

25. It takes four years just to get a
general Bachelor’s degree and six
years for a Master’s. How long
would it take to master network
marketing or anything for that
matter?

26. Answer: Ten years. So, if you
think one month is plenty of time
to be making tons of money in
something, you are on the wrong
boat and planet for that matter.

27. If you can afford the monthly Autoship of the
product you order every month to stay active
as a home-based business owner than it is
highly worth it to stay in, even if you are not
making any money. Why?

28. Because you can learn so much from the
other Leaders in your company and learn so
much from videos and books not only about
developing your business, but about
developing YOU, because people want to join
YOU in network marketing almost more than
for the product, because people love strong
charismatic leaders.

29. I’m not saying you have to be an extrovert
and throw huge parties. You can still make
six-figures if you like to stay home and are an
introvert. So, stay in if you can afford the
autoship because the learning is priceless.

30. This is the only industry I know of where the
Leaders are selfless because they know that
they learn more also by helping others and
learning is gold in this industry. They say in
the industry: “The more you learn; the more
you earn” and that is exactly true.

31. I earned $2000 my first year in
network marketing because I
thought about myself more than
others and just wanted to spam
my link and not waste my time
writing anything worth anything.

32. I discovered I was kidding myself
and had to practice grace and
humility and grow up a little. If I
was going to do anything that
meant something of significance I
would have to transform myself.

33. I used to quit things after a year
or two if it didn’t work out, but
later I found out that the 2nd
year
in almost any business endeavor
is when things start to really gel.

34. It’s like the Universe, Law of Attraction and
God or whatever waits to see if you’re really
serious before they start shining down on
you. I never realized this because I always
quit; No more, even if I lose interest
momentarily, I don’t quit anything anymore.
So don’t quit!

35. One last important tip:
People are going to sign up
with you and you’re going
to get really excited and
then they will quit on you.

36. This was devastating to me at first, but I like
to use the restaurant owner analogy here. If
an owner of a restaurant hired a chef and the
chef quit two months later would the owner
close shop and sell the restaurant? No, they
would hire another chef.

37. There’s a huge turnover rate in the
restaurant industry just like the Network
Marketing industry, so the fact is, people are
going to quit and all you can do is keep
recruiting until you find some “leader-types”
who want to stick around and build it.

38. I worked at a restaurant where they had to
hire a new dishwasher every two weeks.
Eventually, some hardcore guy came in who
liked to work hard and didn’t care so much
about socializing, so it was perfect for him
and he lasted.

39. So, keep at it and eventually people will see
how serious you are and they will join. Leaders
stick with leaders so the more you work on
yourself and become a leader, the more quality
people will join your business and the money
will follow.
