Overall goal of this campaign for Comcast NBC Universal is to be more interactive with our customers on all levels, such as, answering questions through social media, posting to news feed of update and new information, keeping contact with customers as best as we can, and etc. Interacting with the customer and hearing their point of view is important and with their point of view you can customize new personal strategies. We would like to also create a new mobile application to further our interaction on with mobile users. Supporting more of our new interaction options is a new email marketing strategy to have emails set up through your email that’s connected to your Comcast device. This message will be sent in a format similar to our blog, mentioning the week’s current updates and providing alternate links to our various social media platforms.
Comcast is known to have unhelpful customer service over the phone, but is well known for good service in person. By being more interactive through social media the customer’s needs are meet and problems can be solved. What the company needs is to re-gain our reputation of all around good customer service by interacting with our customers by utilizing all social media platforms.
Comcast NBC Universal utilizes three specific social media platforms: Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. With the launch of a new Facebook we are able to see the activity we want and interact with customers through conversation. Launching a new Facebook would help us create new daily updates and news to our feed with option for our customers to interact together and to give feedback, while we can still interact with them. Although the company already has a Twitter, we don’t utilize it enough to the point of being there with the customer. Even though Twitter gives you minimum space to share something to your news feed, it’s a great way to post a good amount of posts during the day and with the help from providing links, or possibly uploading a photo or video, you have the attention of the person immediately. Twitter is another social media platform that really helps with the conversation aspect to social media.
