3. Patrick Schroeter is a designer and craftsman who lives and works in France.
His work is a fusion of styles and materials, motivated by a love of process
and driven by curiosity. His furniture draws on diverse inspirations, from the
classical furniture of antiquity to the far flung fantasies of science fiction. His
aim has always been to combine the best of both worlds, creating
contemporary pieces with a modern aesthetic tempered with a dedication to
craft and finish that is firmly rooted in traditional practice.
All of Patrick Schroeter's work is conceived, designed, constructed and
finished by himself in his extensive workshops in the peaceful mountain
village of Mas-Cabardes. The pieces displayed here are all available for
commission and can be tailored to the clients specifications in regards to size,
materials and finish. We are always developing new designs and welcome
bespoke commissions.
4. Geodesic Terrariums
Our terrariums are hand crafted in our workshop in Mas-Cabardes, France. Each
geodesic is made up of almost one hundred triangles, individually welded
together and hand finished. The resulting geodesic structures incorporate a
water tight bottom section that allows plants to be grown within. Low voltage
LED lighting contained within a classical glass shade turns the geodesic into a
striking light feature.
The geodesic terrariums
can be produced in
stainless steel, black steel
or brass.
Sizes can vary according to
clients specifications.

6. Equus Table
Equus tables are handcrafted from hardwood and stainless steel. The three
dimensional "horseshoe" curve was made possible by some very specific tooling
and formers made specially for these tables. Equus tables are available in both
double and triple horseshoe varieties and can be made in a huge variety of
woods.
7. Antenna Table
The Antenna range was inspired by the work of Buckminster Fuller, particularly
his work with what he termed “tensegrity” structures. The mixture of tension and
compression in these structures allows the creation of extremely rigid and stable
forms with a comparatively low mass. Our Antenna tables and stools take
advantage of this, creating a form that is minimal yet aesthetically striking.
8. Pompidou Drawers
An utterly unique drawer system combining a striking exterior metal frame and
solid hardwood drawers. The design offers huge scope for customisation and
can be made to measure with a diverse range of metal finishes and patinations.

10. Sputnik MK1 Stool
A space age take on a traditional milking stool. The slender tapered legs are
machined from solid stainless steel and connected seamlessly with the
wooden seat. Sputnik stools can be made in various heights and in a huge
variety of woods and finishes.
11. Starboard Mirror
The perfect mirror for those nautically inclined. It incorporates hardwood with
a brushed stainless steel ring. Circular and oval variants are available in any
choice of size, materials and finishes. It can be supplied with plain bevelled or
convex glass.
12. Suspension Table
The initial idea for the suspension table was to create a design that was as
minimalistic as possible, both in appearance and in construction. The result is a
design that uses toughened glass as the principle connection for the metal leg
sections. Suspension tables can be made in either stainless or patinated mild
steel. Circular and console table versions are also available.
