might distribute your media product
and why?

2. Who might you secure a film
distribution deal with?
• Companies to secure distribution with:
• A film distributor such as Altitude
• They are a independent UK film distributer
• They have distributed films such as ‘kill your friends’ and ‘Amy’ which are small
independent films similar to what ‘inception’ would be.

3. Would you consider your work to be in
a style of indie or industrial?
• The film would be independent distribution this is because it is a low budget film
and has independent cast and crew meaning that it fits into the category of
independent.
• It also didn’t use very advanced CGI or pro-filmic affects reducing costs and
meaning that it does not need an industrial distributor.
• The set location was fairly basic and didn't’t cost any money this is typical of a
independent film

4. Connecting film to audience
• The distributors may use social media as most of its target audience will be using
social media so it is a cheap easy way to connect to the audience
• By using online advertising such as pop ups it will also be able to reach the target
audience online and encourage them to see the film without it being too
expensive
• The film could use synergistic activity such as Netflix, web 2.0, website fan forum,
YouTube, Netflix would be very good as target audience are on Netflix

5. Exhibition of the film
• The distributor may choose to exhibit the film on VOD demand this could be
places such as Netflix or Now TV
• The film may be in independent cinema as it is an independent film and therefore
reach the young audience that watches independent film
• The film may be shown on TV such as Film 4 this is because it would be reaching a
large audience
