Elizabeth Demas, corporate employee turned successful entrepreneur! In 2003, I was laid off after the "telecommunications bubble" burst. Nearly done with my MBA in IT, but with few prospects for work, I decided to start my own business. With two small children, I preferred to start a business I could run out of my home.
