• Ehab Al Shihabi, a former executive director of

Shihabi has also demonstrated a notable commitment

A now-nationwide organization that evolved out of the
Charity Organization Society in Denver in the late
1800s, United Way has helped create positive changes
in communities across the United States.

3. 365 Days of Caring
• The 365 Days of Caring campaign brings in staff from corporations
all over the country to do special community service projects at the
local level. Over the past two decades, the campaign has attracted
thousands of volunteers.
Participating corporations are able to demonstrate their own good
citizenship while promoting a positive workplace culture of caring
and team building. Volunteer groups have helped low-income
families with tax preparation and assisted older adults with
computer instruction. Additionally, they have helped schoolchildren
experience the joys of learning through rebuilding classrooms and
playgrounds, sharing books, and hosting reading-related activities.
