Whatarewebuilding
— An edge cloud ecosystem of shared value built in
collaboration with broadband service providers (e.g.
Rogers, Singtel, Vodafone)
— A modern edge cloud platform that powers the UDN
network and enables strategic ecosystem partners to
deliver their applications @ web-scale from the edge
— A platform that enables new business opportunities where
performance and reach is key, (a few examples)
— Gaming Acceleration
— TV, Media & Entertainment workloads + AR/VR,
— Smart Cities & Automotive
— IoT / Industrial IoT
— Real Time Machine Learning & AI
— Not forgetting 5G & Network Slicing

WhatarewetryingtodohereaswebuildtheEdgeCloudPlatform
—Build the next segment of the public cloud business @ the
edge: in partnership with operators, we are creating a new
segment in the market for edge cloud (aka edge compute)
—Focus on building the edge cloud platform itself as opposed
to the applications and are using modern technologies to
scale, deploy and manage these applications
—We will use partnerships to create the differentiation & scale
in the SaaS side of the business
WE ARE NOT TRYING TO REPLACE PUBLIC CLOUDS

SharedCDN–thebestofbothworlds
For service providers with content properties
better control over the quality of delivery with private CDN like capabilities, but
without the licensing and operations costs.
Ability to monetize & have visibility into UDN OTT content flooding the network
For content or application providers
large capacity delivery footprint located within service provider networks compared
to global cdns who are limited by the capacity of their transit or peering links into
the service providers
For consumers
best quality of experience

Applications,companiesandtechnologiesthathaveaneedtoday
1. Applications that:
— currently run in public cloud today – modern runtimes and
companies that pay a public cloud bill
—currently have low latency requirements (Round Trip Times)
—or performance/scaling bandwidth challenges (Bandwidth)
2. Companies for which the UDN network and Service Providers are
critical partners to their success – where UDN is a fast track to scale
3. Technologies that are enabled by UDN and the Global Service

16. WIRELESS NETWORKS ARE
GROWING FAST BUT VOLUMES
OF TRAFFIC REALLY ARE
FOUND IN WIRELINE
“Overall, 7% of our traffic is on our wireless
network while 93% if on our wireline network”
- North American UDN Partner
17. APPLICATION PROVIDERS ARE
NOT EQUIPPED TO HANDLE
100’s RELATIONSHIPS WITH
OPERATORS
“We don’t have the people, time or energy to work with
hundreds of network operators – we wouldn’t even
know who to call. That where UDN is valuable to us and
we want to work with Operators”
- North American UDN Ecosystem Partner
18. APPLICATION PROVIDERS ARE
NOT WILLING OR ABLE TO RE-
PLATFORM THEIR SOFTWARE
FOR EACH OPERATOR EDGE.
“We go to public clouds and IaaS providers because we
write and deploy software once on a common
infrastructure and cloud technology stack. We cannot
afford to re-platform for dozens of different
environments. It just doesn’t make sense.”
- North American UDN Ecosystem Partner
19. CONTENT DELIVERY WAS A
GREAT FIRST APPLICATION
FOR THE EDGE BUT ITS NOT
ENOUGH.
“CDN is interesting, but isn’t there more than just
content delivery that can drive global scale of edge
networks?”
-Potential UDN Service Provider Partner

Together…
we are creating a brand
new market vertical and
business for
Edge Cloud
Edge Gravity built the Unified Delivery Network in partnership with Internet Service Providers
to create the world’s first global-scale edge compute platform and ecosystem, to leverage the network edge.
So what is Edge Gravity building?, well from a technology point of view UDN is deployed today and already has global presence and reach, but it is also about creating an ecosystem that creates shared value from the greatest quality of service delivered
It already has four live applications including Edge-CDN, Game Acceleration, Software-Defined Core, and Live Video synchronisation & Delivery.
This is just the beginning, we believe that Edge Gravity will enable the next generation of web-scale applications – over fixed and wireless networks, and 5G
The first use case is a global content delivery platform, with edge delivery capabilities.
Our solution balances revenue for the delivery of traffic over service provider networks, and..
Aggregates those service provider networks o create scale towards the content provider ecosystem
So this is a strategic partnership, and revenue share business model with network service providers
Edge Cloud sites with CDN caches instantiated - providing better performance than traditional global CDNs
The result for video delivery
High video quality
Fast video start
Very low stall rate
But also ready for additional services for future workloads
What is “real edge computing”?
Its not VR, Remote Surgery and Autonomous driving (although we think these are very cool apps!) We believe these are in the future and may not require the Edge right this second, however, we’re focused on things that can use edge computing today. Gaming Acceleration, Mobile Acceleration of small objections, SD-Cloud and True Live OTT are examples.
