2. We’ve previously told you about AeroMobil’s goal to produce
the world’s first flying car, when it was unveiled at the Pioneers
Festival.
The Slovakian company have now set themselves an
ambitious target to transform their flying vehicle from prototype
to consumer ready within a 2 year timeframe.
What’s this all about?

3. Will we be flying the skies in 2017?
The first commercially available flying car from AeroMobil will
be a 2 seater vehicle that can reach up to 100mph when
driven on the ground, and 125mph as a plane in the air.
The flying car will not require additional airports to be built as it
is capable on landing on surfaces including strips of grass, so
a ‘flying lane’ could be added to existing roads and increase
the number of places you can take the car.

4. When will AeroMobil be up, up and away?
The company still has a lot to do before they can achieve their
2017 flying target, including raising enough money to start
mass producing the vehicle.
The final decision on components still needs to be made to
ensure the car is light enough for flight, but resilient enough to
pass car regulations. Therefore, experiments will continue on
different engines to select the best for the vehicle.

5. The sky is never the limit…
AeroMobil are already planning their next model – a fully
autonomous, 4 seat flying car!
Stefan Vodocz, AeroMobil’s head of public relations, has said:
‘Maybe 10 years from now, it needs to be automated. With an
algorithm, it would be managed much better by a computer
than by man.’
