4. Challenge & Motivation
o Not sufficient links in existence among actors in disaster risk
management (incl. preparedness & response)
o Response planning and the building of realistic multidisciplinary
scenarios must be improved (TRAINING  OPTIMISE RESPONSE)
o IN-PREP identified 3 principal needs (for MS’ crisis management practitioners):
o Shared response planning (across borders and agencies)
o Real-time information sharing
o Shared coordination of assets and resources
