This document discusses opportunities for making educational games more accessible. It begins by noting that most disabilities are invisible unless people ask for accommodations. Accessible design benefits the widest audience and is increasing in importance as populations age. In education, students with disabilities remain underrepresented in higher education globally despite growing numbers. The document provides examples of accessible game design principles and accessible YouTube creators. It argues many games have educational elements and lists popular games and digital educational tools. It concludes by emphasizing accessibility allows the visually impaired to access whole new experiences and provides guidelines for implementing accessibility.
