4. Forest
• Natural Vegetation refers to the large scale growth of plant life in a
region without any human interference. The growth depends on
factors like temperature, rainfall and the type of soil at a place.
• There are mainly 3 types of forest found in different parts of the
world based primarily on temperature and rainfall.
5. Tropical Evergreen Forest or
Rain Forest
• These forests are found in hot and wet equilateral regions and tropical
areas which have heavy rainfall. There is a large variety of creepers and
plants and therefore, commercial lumbering is impossible.
• Tropical Forest never shed their leaves in the whole year. Animals found In
these forest are Koala, Tiger, Tortoise and Elephant.
8. Temperate Forest
• Areas with low temperatures but sufficient rainfall have mixed
forest of deciduous trees in the plains and coniferous forest
on the higher lands. Chameleons, Macaws, Leopards and
Butterflies are found here.
• Trees in Temperate Forest Shed their leaves once in a year.
11. Boreal Forest
• Boreal Forest are also called taiga. These forest are
characterized by very low temperature, that is between -50o
C and 300 C. The annual snowfall in this region is 40 to
100cm.
• The main animals found here are Snow Cow, Yak, Tiger and
Bear
