As part of the QAIA Project Management team Douglas Tobin Architect Engineer’s (DTAE) key responsibilities involved project
design review, construction management, testing and commissioning of the new QAIA Passenger Terminal included the following:
 IT systems, Network, Master Clock, FIDS, BIDS, CUPPS, CUSS, Server Configuration, etc.
 General Security Equipment – This includes the ACS, CCTV, PTB CCTV, Software, Specification engineering review
and critique.
 Security Equipment Tender review - Scope of work consists of the EDS Equipment, Metal Detectors, Level 1 and
Level 3 X-Ray units, Pre-Board Screen X-Ray units, etc.
 Baggage Handling System engineering design and specifications planning review and report.
 Technical specification compliance testing for the IT, BHS, PBB, VIAGS, GPS, IASS, UPS, and Security Equipment.
 Security and Customs Screening Equipment - Functional Specifications engineering review and report.
 BHS - Baggage Handling System Explosive Detection System design and specification engineering review and report.
 BRS - Baggage Reconciliation System design and specification engineering review and report.
 Passenger Terminal systems testing, debug and commissioning.
