  7. 7. •A missionary used to go for a walk every morning in the desert of Marrakesh in Morocco. Everyday he noticed a man lying down, with his ears pressed to the ground and stroking the sand with one hand.
  8. 8. The man replied that he offered the desert company and consolation for its loneliness and tears. Intrigued by this strange behavior, he enquired the man.
  9. 9. The missionary asked the man to tell the desert that it is performing an important duty. Moreover, he told that the desert wept for its infertility and being useful to no one.
  10. 10. The sand of desert indicates equality of human. The vast open desert made him realize man’s true size and how small we are compared with god.
  11. 11. Its mountain helps the missionary to meditate and makes him feel being closer to the Creator.
  12. 12. The man told him that the desert still wept for spending thousands of years being unaware of its role in the world and wasted all time blaspheming god and it’s fate. The very next day he found the man in the same place and position.
  13. 13. They prayed to their own god who has always been the same god. Being a Muslim the man turned toward Mecca and prayed. Being a Catholic, the missionary put his hands together and prayed.
  14. 14. The following day the missionary found the place where the man used to embrace wet and a small spring had started bubbling up there. The Bedouin, the inhabitants of the city, built a well and called it ‘THE WELL OF THE DESERT’S TEARS’.
  15. 15. • It is a faith that anyone who drinks water from its well will find way for joy out of his sufferings
