1. Obscene
Publications Act
This law has governed by the UK Parliament in 1959. It
was to prevent obscene materials in England and Wales.
The reason for this was to prevent criminal acts to
corrupt.

2. Copyright & Intellectual Property
Law
This law was created to protect creative work from
being used without permission. They were granted
certain rights to publish to different markets, licence
the manufacture and distribution of inventions. To
reassure the creator, the law states they can sue in
case of unlawful or deception copying.

3. Broadcasting Act
This law was created to control what was shown on, mainly,
TV. This was brought out by Margret Thatcher and was a clear
example of Thatcherism. The point to the act was to structure
British broadcasting.

4. Libel Law
This law enables action for libel to be
brought in the High Court to publish states
which are alleged to defame a named
individual, this causes them loss in their
trade or profession. This could also cause a
reasonable person to think worse of them.

5. Race relations Act 1976
This was created by Parliament of the UK to
stop discrimination on the grounds of race.
This discrimination includes, colour,
nationality, ethic and national origin in the
fields of employment.

6. Privacy Law
To keep personal information, which can be
collected by governments and other public as well
as private organizations, personal.

7. Licensing Act 2003
This was created by the UK Parliament to
establish a single integrated scheme for
licensing. This is used for preventing
supply of alcohol or certain
entertainment.
