7. Trivia
- It was rumored that this film was a prequel to Venom (2018), but it was subsequently debunked.
- In a TV spot commercial, it was revealed that the movie reused old b-roll footage from Spider-Man 3 (2007).
- The movie was inspired by Alien (1979).
- It was intended to have Ryan Reynolds play the main character. However, scheduling conflicts with The
Hitman's Bodyguard (2017) forced him to take a supporting role instead.
- Near the beginning of the movie, before the crew 'catches' the sample pod, Hugh quickly comments that "I
have a good feeling about this". This could be a nod to the famous line spoken in the "Star Wars" films "I have
a bad feeling about this". This would be ironic as things in Star Wars work out in the long run, and things in
"Life" do not.
