Within the next 3 Rotary Leadership terms, 6/30/09, build CV Rotary into an extraordinary exciting club with
$200K endowment with 120 members who are passionate about their personal and collective contribution to
local and international Rotary projects within the context of creating the possibility of world peace and
understanding.
The International Chairs’ vision is to insure that every member is educated and understands what role they may
play in regard to RI’s International Projects such as GSE, Ambassadorial Scholarship, Youth Exchange, Peace and
Conflict Resolution Scholarship and our own project Safe Blood Africa.
Carmel Valley Rotary Club: members passionately “in action” for the community, world peace and
understanding.

 Selection of board qualified members for key international projects by August 31st
, 2006.
 Selection of one candidate for Peace and Conflict Resolution Scholarship, GSE, and Youth Exchange per year by program due
dates.
 Sponsorship of one candidate for Ambassadorial Scholarship per year by program due dates .
 Generating a list of qualifications for Safe Blood Africa recipients (hospital facilities) in Nigeria by January 2007.
 Creation of a school for Blood Bank Scientists in Nigeria by July 31, 2007.
 Implementation of a local management structure in Nigeria for the Safe Blood Africa Project by July 31, 2007.
 Installation of 10 more blood banks in Nigeria by July 31, 2007.
 Hold a bi-annual educational seminar during the regular club meeting to teach each member how they can be involved in
recruiting and educating the community in regard to our international projects (GSE, Ambassadorial Scholarship, Youth
Exchange, Peace and Conflict Resolution Scholarship).
 Implement a fun Q&A game with a prize to the club member who gets the most points, bi-annually, who can answer specific
question about our international projects.
 Encourage members to share a quick experience of sharing our International project with a possible candidate.
 Hold educational seminars at M.I.I.S., N.P.S., C.S.U.M.B., M.P.C., to educate the students about GSE, Ambassadorial Scholarship,
and Peace and Conflict Resolution Scholarship to generate qualified applicants for RI’s international projects and generate
publicity.
 Hold educational seminars at Seaside, Monterey, Carmel, and Carmel Valley High School to educate the students about Youth
Exchange to generate qualified applicants for RI’s international projects and generate publicity.
 Receive regular monthly progress updates from all international project board members and collaborate and coordinate their
efforts.
 Present project summary to the board and the regularly held board meetings.
To get each of these project managers to draft a one page business plan for their projects with specific vision, mission,
objectives, strategies, action plans and time lines.
