Diversity Activist Dar’shun Kendrick Chosen As One of the Chairs of
the Atlanta Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, Golden Eagle
ATLANTA – Dar’shun Kendrick, Owner of Kendrick Advisory & Advocacy Group, LLC (“KAAG”)
will chair the Atlanta Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, at the annual Golden Eagle Luncheon on December
6, 2018 at 12 pm at the Cobb Galleria. The purpose of this event is to raise funds for the Atlanta Area Council,
Boy Scouts of America. The keynote speaker for this year’s luncheon is Dan Cathy, CEO of Chick-Fil-A. Each
year this annual event brings over 1,400 community and business leaders to support Scouting across Metro-

When asked why Dar’shun was chosen to be a chair for this prestigious event, Brandon Dobbins, Southern
Crescent District Director with the Atlanta Area Council of Boys Scouts of America stated, “I chose Dar'shun
Kendrick to be one of the chairs for our event because of her respect within the community, and her vast
connections. Dar'shun would be the perfect addition to our team, and we look forward to learning more about
what she can offer.”
The Boy Scouts of America (the BSA) is one of the largest Scouting organizations in the United States of
America and one of the largest youth organizations in the country, with more than 2.4 million youth participants
and nearly one million adult volunteers. The BSA was founded in 1910, and since then, more than 110 million
Americans have been participants in BSA programs at some time. The BSA is part of the international Scout
Movement and became a founding member organization of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in
1922. The BSA’s goal is to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance
through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and, at older age levels, career-
oriented programs in partnership with community organizations.
