35. Within a short span of six years Don Bosco Arts &
Science College, Angadikadavu has proved its
credentials as a quality Institute of Higher Education,
affiliated to the University of Kannur, though located
in an interior area.
36. The students from Don Bosco Arts & Science
College, Angadikadavu have been the first
rank holders in the University for MCJ, MSW,
BA English Literature and BCom.
37. It is the only College in the University without the
student units of the political organizations like SFI,
KSU and ABVP. No strike was held in the campus,
though all the other colleges in the University had
the
problem.
38. All the departments (Journalism, Social Work,
English, Commerce and Mathematics) are headed
by a Salesian Priest and therefore, each and every
student is taken care of personally with the typical
preventive system.

festival, TWITERARY FEST.

43. English is the medium of communication in the campus
from 8. 30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. from August 2011. A 10-day
fulltime Spoken English Course is conducted for all the
students at the beginning of the academic year.
44. Each Faculty in all the departments is entrusted with
10 to 16 students to guide and assist in their
formation, with the required data to be entered in the
Student Assessment Record Book printed for the
effective implementation of the mentoring system.
47. The best performing student in each batch is
given scholarship.
A postgraduate student will get Rs. 12, 500 and
an
undergraduate student, Rs. 7,000.
48. A unit of Jesus Youth is active catering to the
spiritual intelligence of the students, organizing
retreats, Holy Mass, Sacrament of Reconciliation,
and prayer meetings.
49. The non-Christians have value education sessions
every month. An eight-minute long life lesson is
given by one of the Fathers or one of the Faculty
members during the morning assembly every
day.
50. Remedial Coaching
The fast learners in each batch take
care of the slow learners taking tuition
for them at a convenient time regularly.
