• The purpose of the magazine is to inform
readers of all the best rock venues in their
local area.
• The magazine will also promote and advertise
venues and upcoming shows around North
London.

• The magazine will be designed to allow for it to be
produced as both a physical and digital version.
• The physical magazines will have 120 pages whilst the
digital editions will have around 100.
• The physical magazines will release once a month, with
the digital copies following the same pattern a week
after.

6. USP
• Each copy of the physical magazine will come with a
free limited edition guitar pick each month with a
rare chance for it to be signed by a featured artist.
• The pick will be designed based on a featured venue,
with some variations during holiday issues (e.g.
Christmas, Halloween, etc...).
• Digital versions of the magazine will include free
downloadable content.

The magazine will provide a QR code to direct readers to the website

• The front cover of the magazine will use colours that are associated
with the genre of Rock, for example red, black and purple.
• The fonts used for the title and masthead will be bold and link to
the genre of rock, whilst the fonts used for the articles inside will
instead be simpler and clearer.

9. Content
• The front cover will include a main image. The masthead will sit
in the top left of the page, above the main image. The cover lines
will line the sides of the page, listing off the contents of the
magazine.
• The double page spread of the magazine will include a tiered list
of local venues and some of the artists that frequent them.
• The magazine will feature adverts for Rock gigs in North London.
• It will also contain interviews with local artists.
10. Article Ideas
• Reviews -
• The magazine will contain reviews from fans who
frequent the venues mentioned, giving readers and
inside view of the quality of each venue and the music
present.

11. Target Audience
• The magazine will primarily target people of ages 50+, living in
North London
• The secondary target audience will be a younger age
demographic of 20-35, as younger audiences tend to enjoy the
genre as well. The magazines price of £4/5.99 will mean that it
will be targeted towards the middle class.
• As for the tertiary target audience, the magazine will target
any and all who enjoy the Rock genre regardless of their
gender, race, age, class or ethnicity.
12. Resources and Personnel
• In order to create this magazine I will need;
• access to a computer with Photoshop installed.
• I will need a camera and SD card
• A tripod to hold the camera
• I will need models to appear on the front cover of the magazine, with
more appearing within.
• A photographer
• A writer (for the articles)
• A designer and editor
• A Proof reader
13. Marketing Methods
• The magazine will be advertised through;
• Posters at Rock venues in North London
• Social Media (Especially for the secondary and
tertiary TA)
• The featured venues websites
• Discounted access to the digital magazine will be
offered at popular venues, for first time readers,
through limited time codes.
16. Sample Materials (Title with font)
This font is similar to the one used in the logo for the rock band “Iron Maiden”, and so will make it
clear to the readers what genre the magazine is focusing on

The Masthead uses colours that are strongly linked the genre of rock, those being red, black and grey.
