Dr. Dan Berman FACHE is presently the Chief Innovation Officer and also the Managing
Director of the Board of the Center for Healthcare Practitioners. As the Managing Director, Dr.
Berman has developed and recruited for several advisory boards for the Center which include:
Healthcare Trends, Academic Program Directors, and a Healthcare Investors Group. Dan also
maintains a mentor and coaching practice where he often coaches Executives of Healthcare
Startup companies in the Healthcare Delivery and Pharma space. He brings value to his work in
that he understand healthcare economics, business development, and entrepreneurship and
innovation.
Over the thirty years of healthcare industry experience, he has helped develop successful
business with large contracts and has increased revenue. The areas of healthcare that he has been
successful in includes Hospitals, Specialty Hospitals, Long Term Care, Pharmacy Services,
Ambulatory Health, Correctional Healthcare, Behavioral Health, Home Health and Managed
Care. In these settings, he has been responsible for program development and revenue
enhancement.
Dr. Berman is also a unique Academic. He is trained as a Master Level Clinician so he has a
keen understanding of the delivery of healthcare and also understands the need for healthcare
innovation by clinicians, He also has a Doctorate in Business and understands the need for
academic study in business and healthcare. He teaches and consults on program development in
Healthcare Administrative Studies at the Graduate Level. Dr. Berman also has a keen
understanding of E-Learning Distance Education, Executive Education, and Adult Training.
Dr. Berman has also served on the board of many different types of organizations in the
healthcare space including Behavioral Health, Home Health, Pharmacy Services, Health Policy
Centers, Health Innovation Centers, Physician and Provider Group Practices, and also Managed
Care companies. Most of Dr. Berman's work in Boards has been in the for-profit sector of
healthcare. In Dr. Berman's role as a consultant, he has led and facilitated many board retreats.
