Each week we review scorecards results with our associates sharing their
successes in most cases and it gives me great pleasure to celebrate a
recent coaching conversation Daniel and I had 2 weeks ago. As we
celebrated Daniels Sales and his improvement with Credit we saw My Client
as an opportunity to help drive sales for the Fall Season and Daniel made a
commitment to focusing on inputting more customers in My Client and
utilizing the T7 function to capture 2nd visits and in just 2 weeks Daniel had
a penetration in My Client sales of 8% last week. Daniel is off to a great
start and I am excited to hear many more clients added in the future. Great

Yesterday, we had a visually impaired customer shopping in our store. She
shopped with Victoria Franzen in several departments before coming down
to the shoes department to check out. Daniel did a wonderful job assisting
her in the shoes department, and took the time to break up her transaction
to get her the best deal possible. He treated her like any other customer,
while still accommodating her disability. Thank you, Daniel, for ensuring she

With all of the changes going on around us, it is a pleasure to know that
Macys associates are still rising to extreme star levels with customer
service and balancing the departments with our customers needs. Daniel is
an example of what an extreme star can accomplish and balance our
customers needs with challenges that face the department. Saby, one of
our Macys customers, completed a survey about her experience with Daniel
on July 4. Saby stated, "My mother and I decided to go shopping a little bit
during 4th of July. When we decided to go to the Women's shoes area, we
were greeted with an outstanding associate by the name of Daniel. He was
extremely helpful and fast at whatever he did. He knew the answers, was
quick to grab shoes we needed, and rang us up with ease. It was a total

It is truly a pleasure to read comments about our associates providing the
most amazing experiences with our customers and Daniel Belcher in
Women's Shoes continues to have our customers feel better for have

On our Private event on Sunday June 14th, Daniel was assisting 3 different
customers in Women's Shoes and was bringing many styles and sizes to
one of his customers when I noticed that he may need help assisting his
customer in Comfort Shoes. I continued to assist Daniel's customer and she
ended up purchasing 8 pair of shoes for over $400 dollars during our Event
of Buy 1 pair get the 2nd pair 50% off and honor a 25% pass off all shoes.

Today Daniel had a customer who made the $3 donation for Got Your 6.
This customer has a son who is a disabled veteran, and she participates in
Got Your 6 every year. Usually, she gives the pin to her son, but this year
we were not giving away the pins to customers. Needless to say, the
customer was a little disappointed. That's when Daniel stepped in and truly
made Magic for this customer. He offered to give his own pin, the one he
earned by selling six Got Your 6's, to the customer so that she could give it
to her son. Talk about a truly selfless act that is totally in the spirit of Got
Your 6! Thank you Daniel for going above and beyond when it comes to

Daniel...thank you for always being willing to step up and help with any task
assigned you. No matter how busy the Women's Shoe floor is, you always
manage to give amazing service and complete any task assigned to you.
Your positive attitude and your willingness to always do your best makes
you a pleasure to work with and a huge asset to this company and more
specifically your department and teammates. Teamwork
During my coaching with Dan last week, we talked about how Daniel would
commit to focusing on asking to open a new account with every customer.
As I was working with Daniel this morning, Daniel had opened a new
account just shortly after we had opened. I am so proud of Daniel for
making a commitment last week with me and then following up with such

Yesterday a customer wrote in and raved about Daniel in Women Shoes "is
awesome and super helpful, friendly and willing to go out of his way to help
us find all the shoes we went in for!!! He is one of the nicest workers there.

We ask our associates to do many things each day whether it be tasks,
calling clients, recovery, open new accounts or connect with every
customer. While you may feel that we continue to ask a lot of each of our
associates each day, our associates continue to keep that "Can Do" attitude
and energy among them during their shift on the selling floor or backroom.
Daniel Belcher in Women's Shoes is no exception and I have asked him to
help out with many tasks and Magic Behaviors and he has always
maintained a "Yes I Can" attitude with energy and enthusiasm each time.

what we ask of you and always having the most Amazing Attitude with

As the Magic Captain of our store, I am truly passionate about slowing
down to listen to a customer who shares how there experience was in our
store. On our most recent ODS, I had the pleasure of talking with a
customer (Mia) who was shopping the Women's Shoe Department and said
that Daniel was such a patient and helpful associate that it made her feel so
good to have him help find a pair of shoes for an event she was going to be
attending. Mia went on to share that she asked for a specific shoe and we
did not have that shoe in her style, yet Daniel offered some other styles and
she like his suggestions better and it would match her color of the dress
also and she was very pleased that he did not just give up and continued to
help her find what she needed. I suggested that she have Daniel put her in
My Client so that she could always feel she had a personal shopper to find
her shoes and he could continue to inform her of special events and keep in
touch with her. She liked the idea and said she would like to have Daniel do
this. I was so pleased to hear how well that Daniel had helped her and look
forward to hearing many more stories of how Daniel will build a relationship
with this customer in the future and make her a loyal customer with him.

Daniel was assisting a customer in Women's Shoes when she shared what
exceptional service she received from Daniel. I thanked her for the
compliment and then asked her what made his service exceptional? She
shared that Daniel was running back and forth helping her and other
customers get her shoes and he was smiling and pleasant the entire time.
She went on to say that Daniel was "The Bomb.Com" I thanked her for the
compliment and said that I would celebrate his outstanding customer
service and I am glad that he provided her with the service she was looking
for. These are the best compliments that a SM enjoys hearing from our
customers and I want to give a huge "Thank You" to Daniel for providing

Daniel was instrumental in helping to lead both the sales and support teams
in prepping the Women's and Men's shoe stockrooms for inventory. With
his leadership, the stockrooms look amazing and it will definitely help to

anything. He is the first to step up and help out his fellow sales associates

As managers, one of our favorite things is to have customers who make it a
special point to compliment our associates. I had a customer who pulled me
aside to make sure I knew what a great job Daniel did by helping her
daughter find shoes for prom. The customer and her daughter originally
started at Sunrise Macy's to find shoes for the dance, but her daughter
wears size 4 1/2 which isn't a typical size that we carry. The customers
were told by Sunrise that they couldn't help them. They came here looking
for help and Daniel was determined to find the daughter shoes despite her
difficult size. The mom and daughter were thrilled because the daughter left
with shoes for the dance. Thank you Daniel for going above and beyond in
helping these customers and being your amazing self! Customer Engagement

leaving for Europe to find 27 full price shoes and preselling them to her

I was asked to go down to help in Women's shoes today because they were
slammed. When I arrived I saw Daniel on hold for a customer and working
to registers to try and get the line down. He still connected with each person
he was working with and kept the line from getting frustrated. I can tell that
when busy days hit he is ready to handle them Way to go Daniel for making

Daniel is always the first to help other associates out when they become
swamped or stuck at the register. He will pick up others drags without being
asked but just for the sake of helping out and being a team player. Daniel is
also willing to help out my customers when I occasionally get stuck with a

One of the most important part of Magic a sales person can bring with then
to work, is a positive outlook on the day. Daniel is consistent with starting
and ending his day with a positive mind set. Today as the EIC I was able to
watch Daniel help a customer, and all with a very upbeat attitude. He talked
about the friends and family event, as well as told her about our great star
rewards program. I just wanted to thank Daniel for being the MAGIC here in
Downtown Sacramento.

was shopping in our store. She stated that Daniel was so professional and
easily helped multiple customers at once. Even though he had to help more
than one customer at a time, he made her feel that she had his undivided
attention. She has been a shopper at Macy's for quite some time, but she
