Important decision making
• Some things look illegal but are ‘ugly lacrosse’
• Remind yourself: was there a foul? Or was it not a foul?
• Slow whistle situations / advantage rule
• Is it advantageous for the player with ball to blow the whistle
or is an advantage arm or flag more appropriate?
• Immediate whistle situations
• Dangerous situations or Cards
• Simultaneous fouls
• Major trumps minor, set up the major
• Both same ‘level’ of foul  throw

Substituting
• Anytime and as often as needed
• Must go in this order:
• team bench area – sub waiting area – substitution area –
substitution gate
• A player may only be in the substitution area when they are about
to substitute for a teammate and the substitution is imminent.
• Player must completely come off the field before another player
can go onto the field
• If not: illegal procedure (too many women on the field)
• Players should avoid collision with other players and provide a
clear view for the scorers table
• After a goal players may immediately enter the field to substitute
