This year Cydcor shared a great partnership with EARTHS magnet school, an elementary school focused on life sciences in Newbury Park, California. Cydcor worked with United Way to create materials to help the students with reading, as well as sent volunteers to tutor the children every week. For Thanksgiving, Cydcor team members donates over 100 holiday meals for families of EARTHs students. For Christmas, there was a giving tree and Cydcor helped Santa deliver 115 presents, giving kids what they really wanted.

4. Reading and Tutoring
“Our goal is to support EARTHS by
mentoring the kids, helping them
cultivate confidence in their own
skills and abilities,” saidCydcor

skills to succeed is just one part.
Mentorship is so important to the
overall development of children,
and we really want to make a
difference in their lives.”

5. Literacy Kits
Cydcor team members and United
Way of Venture County created 50
literary kits for EARTHS. The
literacy kits were designed to
improve reading comprehension
through games, worksheets, and
crafts.
The kits were so successful, the
school requested the original files
of the worksheet and habitat game
so that they could be translated
into Spanish for ESL students.
