The document discusses the HIRMEOS project, which upgrades five open access book publishing platforms to add value services including identification services using DOIs and ORCIDs, entity recognition of persons, places and periods, certification connection to DOAB, open annotation using Hypothes.is, and metrics including open access and alternative metrics delivered through an API.
