There's no way we can do this on our own, so we partner with printers, publishers and brand owners, I've learnt that we have to focus on what
we're good at and listen to what others believe adds value to their products.
We develop our technology on print presses used to create many of the things you might see around you, but this presents a whole new set of
challenges.
At first people don't really get what we do, so we create product demonstrators to help convey our vision and inspire them with how this can work
for them.

We have a created a printed newsletter which will be trialled in a uk town next year. It combines printed capacitive touch with traditional printed
news media and sound. It also has wireless technology and a readers spoken views can be pushed to everyone's news letter instantly.
Our vision is to bring any print to life by combining the best of electronics and the mass production methods of print, technology can disappear
into everything around us, our innovation is in this integration.

Kinect analyzes how the dot pattern change within the room
Create “point cloud” -> Easy to track XYZ and determine users location in 3D space -> Great for
games
93. Wednesday, 27 March 2013 93
Few days after release enthusiasts figured out how to access the data
within weeks drivers and tools available all over the net
when i got my hands on it > read up on what the community had created > immediately wanted to try
stuff out

Audio Reactive Point Cloud

And when you have this 3D point cloud in real time why not hook it up to an audio source to
manipulate it?

221. My Takeaways
• Dilemma 1: Cost and availability
• Dilemma 2: What if bionic parts/limbs/
organs surpass their natural counterparts
• Technology is changing the face of disability

223. What if Bionics Evolve?
Wednesday, 27 March 2013 223
What if these (expensive) artificial parts one day evolve beyond the capabilities of teir natural
counterparts?
226. Disability: Unfair
Advantage?
• „Some say the advances in technology give
disabled athletes an unfair advantage. They
call it "techno-doping" for short“.
• „His critics argue he had an unfair
advantage because his prostheses are
lighter than human legs and have been
optimized for running on all surfaces“.

Bionic technology can move physical disability from low competence to high competence. The
question is, will it be warm or cold? If we look at popular culture...
