5. Features
Editors Note
Europe is now at the forefront of the mobile payment world. As of
August 2013 18% of transactions across Europe were completed
via a mobile device. The mobile payment world is growing, its in-evitability
as the future of payment is not under debate, how to be
at the top of this new payment world is.Hear from banks, payment
companies, retailers and technology providers discussing the up-coming
trends in mobile.
I believe that Mobile is no longer just one of many mediums in
which you can reach consumers as a point of marketing or sales,
it is fast becoming the primary source. Improvements in security
and the emergence of biometric authentication mean mobile pay-ments
and banking is here now.
The opportunities to personalise, contextualise and locate consumers
opens up incredible doors for retailers outside of marketing. The
opportunity to generate brand loyalty has never been greater.Social
Media is moving almost entirely to mobile. The reality is that there
is now a need for specialised Mobile campaigns rather than broader
campaigns that can be accessed via mobile devices.
Google claim that 84% of shoppers are online via a mobile device
whilst in store, add the fact that a majority of online retailing is now
done on a mobile device: secure, simple and functional mobile pay-ment
is becoming a necessity. This conference hopes to address
what the issues currently are, what is holding mobile payments
and mobile commerce back and who will be at the forefront of this
industry when the explosion of use takes place.
