- the importance of training in business just as in sports: It's common to draw parallels between sports teams and business teams, and rightfully so. But there's one glaring difference that can't be overlooked. At my time working In sports, teams like the Southern Kings, SWD, and Lions i reflect back to my time there and realized teams spend the majority of their time—99%—in rigorous training, reserving just 1% for actual game time. Contrast this with corporate teams at companies like Interroll, Scribante, and GRS, where the focus is almost exclusively on performance, dedicating 99% of the time to "game day" tasks and just 1% to training. While it's unrealistic for business teams to devote 99% of their time to training, there's immense value in shifting the balance.
