You need to strengthen your online network with offline connections. Leveraging your LinkedIn connections with LinkedIn events help you meet those online connections offline. But you need to do a few steps to find the events and make the connections.

You built a strong online community,
but there is more to networking
than the number of connections
you have.
You need to take your online
networking offline.
But how do you do this? Find
LinkedIn Events and see the
networking events or Cleared Job
Fairs that your connections are
attending.
You have to add the Events
Application to your LinkedIn Profile.
Under More, click on Events

Once you have clicked Events, you
will see a full menu of the
applications that are available to
add to your LinkedIn profile.
In this list of applications you will
find Events.
Click on Events.
4. Adding Events to your
Profile
You will need to select to add the
Events to your Profile and to your
Homepage.
This will then show on your
LinkedIn profile which Events you
are attending.
Only the Events that you select
that you are attending will show
up on your LinkedIn profile.
You will have to go to the LinkedIn
events directory.
6. Finding Your Event in
the Event Listing
After you have searched for
your Event, such as Cleared Job
Fair, you will find the listing for
the Event.
Click on the Event title, in this
case Cleared Job Fair
7. Attending an Event
Select that you are Attending
an Event.
You can also add this to your
Event calendar in Outlook.
Once you have done this, your
attendance to the Event will
show up in your Status Updates
to your network.
You can also add a message
about your Event attendance
as to the kind of job you will be
looking for or the kind of
position you will be talking to
candidates about.
