Dear Sir or Madam:
My name is Christopher Ryan and I am a 2015 Bachelor of Science graduate of Purdue University, Indianapolis in Mechanical
Engineering. My goal is to perform in the engineering industry and utilize my skills to make a positive difference in the world.
I wish to display my knowledge, teamwork abilities, and professionalism as an engineer in order to improve the company. I
strive to learn more during my experience to advance myself and become a valuable member of the team.
Thanks to the vast theory classes, the mechanical engineering curriculum helped me establish a firm foundation of software
development, project implementation, and R&D skills. In addition, the education has impressed upon me the value of effective
documentation as well as professional communication.
Most recently, I was a Mechanical Engineer Contractor at Helmer Scientific Inc. in Noblesville, IN. I worked with Autodesk
software extensively on prototypes, continuous improvement projects, and assembly specifications. I worked hands-on with
tools and maintained a variety of test devices, such as Fluke 2638A stations and a door open/close simulator. I strived to work
for and assist all departments to become superior team leader for projects. Overall, my most recent position helped me
develop a keen understanding of many facets of the product development, improvement, and manufacturing process.
I am available for your inquiries at your convenience viaemail (chjryan@iupui.edu) or phone (317-809-8389). My resume
with contact information is attached as well to give you a brief overview of my abilities. I look forward to hearing from you.
Respectfully,
Christopher J. Ryan
