CREATIVE DIRECTOR – FASHION AND DESIGN
Fashion Designer / Sales and Distribution / Social Media / Trend Forecasting / Marketing
Events Coordinator / Client Relations / Media Relations / Promotion / Project Management
With a consistent track record of out-of-the box accomplishments as a creative director, I brought unique clothing
designs to underserved markets, increased sales for key private label companies, managed nationwide marketing
campaigns, and increased productivity through cross functional company reorganizations.
A highly successful designer, I provide insight on all aspects of key product launches including product design,
materials sourcing, marketing, product launch, customer feedback, and full lifecycle management. My skills include:
• Fashion design and trend forecasting
• Creative product launches and event coordination Initiatives
• Sponsor procurement and PR Campaigns
• Budget oriented sales and marketing
• Development of logos, tag lines and unique brand identity
I earned a Bachelor Degree of Apparel Marketing from the University of Massachusetts and was one of a few
students to be accepted into the fast track graduate program at the Parsons School of Design. An original,
creative thinker and problem solver, I have acquired an extensive knowledge in all aspects of the fashion and
design industries.
SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Exploited Underserved Markets. With Alice and Olivia the only label focusing on high end women’s pants and
seeing their sales soar, I partnered with a classmate from Parsons and opened a vertically oriented boutique in
SoHo NYC named Hem. Employing my keen design skills, I created over 250 fashion forward pant designs over
two years with total sales of $1.5M. My unexpected designs achieved media buzz by national networks with
dozens of celebrity endorsements.
Spearheaded a Company-Wide Reorganization. After being promoted to Creative Director at Star City, a private
label company with $75m in sales, I was charged with the task of lowering employee turnover and increasing
company morale. I prioritized workflow, assigned employees into new cross functional teams and implemented a
mentor program. As a result, employee turnover dropped from 50% to 10% within three months and some orders
began to come back from customers who previously lost faith.
Led a Design Team to $10m in Annual Sales. As a senior designer at Forever M.I. a mass market private label
company, I noticed our clients were not being properly educated about the qualities of my teams work. I engaged
our buyers at tradeshows and one-on-one appointments resulting in increased sales to clients including Urban
Outfitters, bebe, forever 21 and others.
Rejuvenated Stale Product Lines. As a designer for Dunhill, I was tasked with nurturing their recently launched
but stale younger line. I created a new division of apparel and accessories to re-invigorate sales. As a result, sales
in the division increased 400% over the next six month period.
