To Whom It May Concern:
I knew Christian both as a student in my Economics Higher Level class and through his work with the
Model United Nations organization, for which I was a supervising teacher. Christian was a dedicated
student and strong leader, with many personal traits to recommend him.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program is a rigorous program that requires students to
complete coursework at a very high level. Although Christian struggled at times to maintain high marks
in this environment, he approached his schoolwork with dedication, responsibility and intellectual
curiosity. He often sat in the front row during class, asking questions and participating actively in class
discussions. When he struggled with topics, he did not hesitate to ask for help, but showed through his
persistence that he was committed to learning the material to the best of his ability. His hard work paid
off in the end when he received a 5 for his final exam in Economics, showing a good command of the
course material.
Christian has also proven to be a promising leader through his position as Vice Conference Manager of
the MUNNY 2013 Conference. His involvement with this group, and participation in many Model
United Nations (MUN) conferences throughout his time at gymnasium, reflects his interest in issues of
international importance and desire to learn from different perspectives and backgrounds. One of
Christian’s strengths that shone through in this role is his charisma and ability to connect with others.
Christian has strong people skills and a self-confidence that causes other students to look to him as a
leader. He is good at motivating and mobilizing others, able to delegate and take responsibility for those
under his leadership. At the same time, he is a strong team player and cooperated well with the other
members of the Executive Team to put together a successful conference.
Finally, Christian is a kind individual and has an easy-going nature and affability that made him a valued
member of the school community. He was well liked by both teachers and students. I believe that these
personal traits, together with his persistence, intellectual curiosity, and strong leadership potential, make
him a promising student. I therefore warmly recommend Christian Roesholm for a place at your
university.
Sincerely,
