1. Chris Weaver was born in Pennsylvania in the United States. While
growing up outside Washington, D.C., Chris always took art classes in
a variety of disciplines, until he settled on Graphic Design, particularly
Photoshop and Illustrator. He went to university for Graphic Design
before moving to London and switching his degree to Art, Design and
Media. Graphics remain his focus and passion. Chris recently interned
at a financial advisor company, designing all of their reports and
articles. He created infographics and was in charge of their layout,
even creating their 72-page Enterprise Investment Scheme Report.
He may be more at home at a computer than an easel, but he likes
to think being good at one helps him to be better at the other.

As part of a two week work placement, dealt with both the client services
and design aspects of the business. Presented background research for
rebranding, proofread and amended articles and presentations, while also
designing advertisements and logos for a multitude of brands. Learned to
work with both account managers, in addition to other designers.

As the sole designer for the firm, formalized the company’s style guide and
branding. Was responsible for daily article design, while also keeping on
schedule with the 72-page annual report. All of the was done as a part of a
3 month internship with the company.

2. BA in Art, Design & Media
Richmond, The American University in London
Graduated in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Art, Design & Media. Classes
included Photojournalism, Video Production, Printmaking, Web Design, and
extensive InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator courses. Designed, curated and
raised funds for the Senior Art Exhibition.
Studied Graphic Design for three years. Was taught using real-world design
projects. Courses included Contemporary Art History lectures, Vector
Illustration, and Package design.
