Editor's Notes
The goal of your career site should be to let candidates easily find jobs, learn more about your company and convince them why they should come work for you.
Today’s examples, I’ll be showing these in more detail later in session.
If you have only a one page career site its time to branch out.
Employers should be branding their own urls under the main company domain such as jobs.gartner.com
Better get mobile. 40-50% of your traffic is probably mobile.
Use real images of your current workforce.
Dont post your jobs as PDF files. Google and other search engines cant index jobs posted as PDF (you’d be surprised how often this happens)
Every career site needs an employer value proposition--- why you should work here.
Your social channels are an extension of your career site.
Apply must be easy and painless.
Apply must be easy and painless.
Love it how the job search is right there above the fold on homepage. Real employees, pertinent links to info.
Gartner does a great job at content. They take you inside their application process
Email alerts and social media integration right on the homepage.
Even their footer is great...awards...links to all social channels.
Clean, modern job listings - note the right column where you can learn more about the location. Apply button on top.
Tenable provides two buttons to see jobs or learn more.
Social media, glassdoor and more.
Email alerts, image of growth.
Real people with personality! EVP ties in with company products (mattresses)
Simple graphic that says a lot about the Purple culture. All this on a one page scrollable site.
Drives me crazy when i have to click around to find your career page! Dont make job seekers hunt!
