How to Import Bank
Statements in Odoo 15

INTRODUCTION
❖ Importing your bank statements in Odoo Accounting allows you to keep track of the
financial movements that occur on your bank accounts and reconcile them with the
transactions recorded in your accounting.
❖ When using the import feature it is recommend to use bank synchronization for more
efficiency.
❖ However, if you don’t want to use bank synchronization or if your bank is not a supported
institution, you still have other options.

❖ First of all goto Accounting > Dashboard

❖ Click on Create of Create or Import Statements.

❖ Then add Reference, Journal, Transactions and SAVE.

❖ Then RECONCILE the Statement.

❖ Then goto Dashboard > Create or Import Statements > Import.

❖ Select files to import and Click UPLOAD.

❖ Configure Importing formats from Configuration > Settings > Bank & Cash.

❖ Configure Bank Feeds from Configuration > Journals > Bank > Bank Feeds.

❖ Goto Accounting > Dashboard > Bank.

❖ For Exporting, Select a Statement and Export.

❖ Add required field and Export.

❖ For Importing, Goto Statements > Favorites > Import.

❖ Click Upload File.

❖ Choose the file and IMPORT.

❖ The Statement is Created.

❖ For editing the Existing Statement, Export that statement.

❖ Add External ID and Export.

❖ Edit exported file and Import.
