2.  Coming from an immigrant family, it makes me want to vote because I can have a
voice for those that don’t have the opportunity to vote.
 I would want to change how people abuse of the first amendment of the
Constitution to get away with saying rude things even to the president. I would
also want to change how the media can make a small issue into something big and
some things should stay out of the media.
 I would want the way the United States government is set up to stay the same
because it is set up to where no branch of government becomes more powerful
than the other. I also think the Constitution should stay the same.

3.  I really didn’t know much about the Supreme Court and I’ve learned that there is
only one chief justice and eight associate. Which they all serve a lifetime.
 How the Thirteenth Amendment came to be, after the Civil War the Thirteenth
Amendment was written to end slavery and involuntary servitude in the United
States.
 I learned how a president can be impeached, by a majority of the votes from the
House of Representatives and with the chief justice of the Supreme Court the
Senate could remove the president with 2/3 majority.
 Three presidents have been impeached, Andrew Jackson, Richard Nixon and Bill
Clinton.
 The president of the United States give out a lot of executive orders that I didn’t
even know happened.

4.  Gay Marriage
 Legalizing gay marriage in all the states of the United States. It is unfair that
some one else gets to decided who a person can and can not marry based on
gender.
 I feel like this is an important political issue for future generations because
children shouldn’t have to grow up and not be allowed to love and marry the
person they want.

5.  The Fifth Amendment of our Constitution
 I believe this amendment is important so no person is convicted without due
process of law.
 It protects the people from getting abused by the government.

6.  After doing the discussions in this class I thing I will pay more attention to what
goes on in the United States and it’s president. The presidents put out and change
many executive orders and I am so uninformed.
 I learned how the court system works in case I ever need to court.
 Knowing the amendments of the Constitution and the rights I have as a United
States citizen.
 I should go out and vote.
