GRIME TIME
WHAT IS GRIME TIME?
Grime Time is a brand new North London grime magazine
providing you everything you need to know about the grime
genre in North London, this ranges from upcoming gigs in to
growing artists and the newest songs just released.
OBJECTIVE
Our main objective is to become the most popular music
magazine within London, we will hope to do this by making
our magazine attractive and interesting for our audience, by
doing this we hope our audience will want to continuously
purchase our magazine and hopefully we can attract a new
and wider audience so our magazine can become as
successful as we know it can.
FONTS
These are some of fonts that have been used in the
magazine, I have used graffiti fonts as I feel that they will
appeal more to the target audience, also the graffiti font
relates very well to the genre as well as looking attractive
and eye catching when on the shelf in stores.

MOOD BOARD
TARGET AUDIENCE
We are targeting teenagers aged between 15-18 in North
London. This is because the grime genre has become
immensely popular amongst teenagers around the world and
we believe that a new grime magazine North London is
something that is wanted and needed for teenagers in North
London and is something that can become very successful
and popular.
PLACE IN THE
MARKET
We know that there is a gap in the market for Grime Time in
North London as we have researched and found that there
are not any Grime magazines based in North London. This
means that firstly we wont be competing with any other North
London grime magazines which means there is a big
opportunity to attract our target audience and convince them
to purchase our magazine, however, although there aren't
any other North London grime magazines, there is still
competition.
COMPETITION
The main competition for Grime Time is Q magazine or
MOJO, these are very popular music magazines currently
being sold in North London, one of our aims is to be able to
compete with these magazines and hopefully top them in
becoming the most popular music magazine in North London
MARKETING/DISTRIBUTION
The main marketing tools that we will use and that we believe
will be the most affective is social media, this way we believe
that we can reach out to a larger majority of our target
audience, who the vast majority use social media such as
Facebook, snapchat. We will distribute the magazine at grime
gigs, newsagents as well as selling them as a download
online where the target audience is most likely to engage
with the product.
PRICE
Were looking to offer a subscription to our audience to pay
and receive a copy for every month of the year at their
doorstep instead of them having to go out and buy a new
copy each month. Our subscription is £30 a year or if they
would prefer to pay monthly it would cost £3 a month, which
is cheaper than our competition, MOJO are offering a
subscription of £55 a year and Q magazine offering a
subscription of £35 a year. By offering our magazine cheaper
we hope more people will purchase and enjoy reading our
magazines.
RESOLVING LEGAL
AND ETHICAL ISSUES
Ways in which I will resolve legal and ethical issues is by
making sure any pictures I use are not copyrighted and to
make sure that I have permission to use the photo in the
magazine and that also I have permission to shoot photos in
that location.
I will also make sure that the content of the magazine is not
racist, sexist or harmful to the audience, to resolve this I
would have to make sure if use the photos and correct
wording to make sure that it won't be seen as racist, sexist or
harmful by the audience.
THANK YOU FOR
LISTENING!
