  5. 5. Globalization also has a negative impact on the economy Stalled Local Industry Growth The rapid flow of globalization in the economic sector has caused dependence on multinational companies, this has resulted in the local industrial sector not being able to develop properly. The industry brought in by multinational companies has led to a consumptive culture for local consumers, which can kill local business units. For example, modern shopping centers controlled by foreigners has caused shopping centers managed by locals to slowly die. Social Gap Rising Free competition in the international market causes industrial developed countries to grow and hinders industrial economic growth in developing countries. This results in local markets in developing countries being dominated by foreign industries, thus impacting local industries which will eventually die. Capitalism Capitalism itself is an economic system that is controlled by private owners with the aim of seeking profits and a market economy, this capitalism occurs when the private sector controls the trade, industry and production sectors.
