2. In him we have redemption through his blood,
the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to
the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon
us, in all wisdom and insight making known to
us the mystery of his will, according to his
purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan
for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him,
things in heaven and things on earth.
Ephesians 1:7-10 (ESV)
3. For I consider that the sufferings of this present
time are not worth comparing with the glory
that is to be revealed to us. For the creation
waits with eager longing for the revealing of the
sons of God. For the creation was subjected to
futility, not willingly, but because of him who
subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will
be set free from its bondage to corruption and
obtain the freedom of the glory of the children
of God.
4. For we know that the whole creation has been
groaning together in the pains of childbirth until
now. And not only the creation, but we
ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,
groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption
as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in
this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen
is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?
Romans 8:18-24 (ESV)
6. 1. Creation declares the beauty, the power, the
goodness of God.
2. Creation declares the âbrokennessâ that sin
produced.
7. In the beginning, God created the heavens and
the earth. The earth was without form and void,
and darkness was over the face of the deep. And
the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of
the waters.
And God said, âLet there be light,â and there
was light.
Genesis 1:1-3 (ESV)
9. So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27 (ESV)
10. And God blessed them. And God said to them,
âBe fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and
subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of
the sea and over the birds of the heavens and
over every living thing that moves on the earth.â
And God said, âBehold, I have given you every
plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the
earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You
shall have them for food.
11. And to every beast of the earth and to every
bird of the heavens and to everything that
creeps on the earth, everything that has the
breath of life, I have given every green plant for
food.â And it was so. And God saw everything
that he had made, and behold, it was very good.
Genesis 1:28-31 (ESV)
12. 1. Creation declares the beauty, the power, the
goodness of God.
2. Creation declares the âbrokennessâ that sin
produced.
3. As Creation cries out about God, it should
drive us to worship Him!
