About The Product Summits
This is the third all day conference that has come out of a growing
community of regular meetup events, weekly broadcast and digital
events, showcasing practitioners and experts, grounded in the
"emerging" profession of product management and startup product
teams.
The intention of the conference is to bring together a diverse audience of
people passionate about product excellence from various professional
backgrounds and orientations, expose them to different perspectives,
and provide tools and new ways of thinking that they might implement
immediately to expand their perspective on what is required to bring
products from inception through an entire lifecycle, widen their view on
the full gamut of products, product development and product
professional options.

The First Startup Product Summit
The first Startup Product Summit in Feb, 2013 showcased startup
product founders and practitioners giving 20 minute lightning talks from
their direct experience across various phases in the startup product
effort from design thinking and rapid prototyping, to roadmapping and
execution, to marketing and getting traction.
It was billed as the "first product conference not just for product
managers."

Summit in Oct, 2013 was
about "learning from the
past to create the future"
which was reflected in the
conference location at
Broadway Studios which
has a punk history.
People came from all over
the world for the first one, so
we added a workshop day
and ProductCamp San
Francisco unconference to
the line up.
