We live in a universe of colours. Artists create colours. Colours mobilize emotions. Knowledge create products change colour with temperature, inform us of meteorology and of conservation related to humidity. Colour underlies language learning. The colours of the flowers facilitate the reproduction of plants, colours attract insects . Universe is present with different colours through telescope; each stellar object tells us a story. To the eye, the objects have different colours.
Students ask events of language of colors

6. ü I wonder why the sun is hot?
ü
The center of the sun (core) is formed by a kind of gas
cloud (plasma) with hydrogen and helium. There is a force
that unites everything inside (gravitation pressure) and there
is a war into (hydrogen fusion), consuming hydrogen and
helium increase. This war (fusion) releases energy and
increases a lot the core temperature to 15 million degrees
Celsius. The surface temperature of the sun is about 5600
degrees Celsius. Our body temperature is 37 degrees Celsius.

7. ü I wonder why people's eyes are a different color
ü
Our skin, hair and eyes are very different colors.
These colors are due to the same material (pigment)
called melanin. Melanin gives brown or colornegre. The
amount of melanin present in our eyes iris (the colored
part of our eye) determines the color. When there is a lot
of melanin are brown or black. If there is a small amount
of melanin, melanin particles diffuse the light and make it
appear blue. Something similar happens with particles
that diffuse light in the sky and make it see blue.

8. ü I wonder why water falls are round and are not triangles, and
blue colour.
Nature shows that everything is organized to have a minimum
of energy. The drops are formed by units (water molecules)
which together with the way they have less energy. The
best way is the raindrop round.
Sea colour depends on existing substances at sea Rayleigh
explained that electromagnetic waves of visible light collide
with small particles or substances (algae, salts) and are
separated. Some waves are absorbed and others are
reflected. We see the colors of the reflected waves.

9. I wonder why Sun is red ?
ü
• Sun is a star because it emits white light (energy). Sun light
brings with it all the colors of the rainbow: travel as waves
and particles (photons).
• When the green sun combining with the blue sky, our eyes
see yellow colour. Photons travelling are scattered far
from our vision by particles in the atmosphere. Photons
with wavelengths longer (orange and red) avoid dispersion
entering into atmosphere easily. This is the reason we see
these colors without changing and we associate to Sol.

10. ü Why does chicken tail is blue when sun shine?
Some substances change color with humidity. An
example is the cobalt chloride: when there is
humidity that material captures water from the
air and takes red colour. We can use this to
build a warning of rain. The air has high
humidity when it will rain.

11. ü I wonder how they prepare an egg of blue-green color
Juice prepared with cabbage contains substances
(anthocyanin molecules) that change colour from acidic
substances. We add a few drops of cabbage extract
(lilac) to an acid: it shows red. These drops in a basic
medium (bicarbonate, yeast cakes, egg) shows a green
or blue colour.

12. ü Why does Aurora Borealis appear?
Clouds of stellar particles travel in space at speeds very
large (300 to 1,000 kilometers per second). When they
approach Earth, forms a kind of elastic rubber and are
attracted to a circle the North Pole; Earth's magnetic
shield is the cause. Then energy is released, and we
know that the energy released offers many radiation. We
see radiation as colors.

13. ü I wonder why white is divided in other colours through a
triangle of glass.
The triangle is called optical prism. It is an object that
makes travel light with different speed and angle when
crossing the triangle (reflection and refraction of light). It
breaks the light in different waves of energy that are
separate and we can see the colours of the rainbow.

14. ü I wonder why storms exist in the sun
ü
Wars that occur inside the sun produce magnetic fields
around the sun (plasma loops). Every 11 years solar
activity reaches a maximum value with large explosions
plasma: these are solar storms, reaching high
temperatures near 20 million degrees. During a solar
storm, radiation and particles expelled a lot of energy.
Reaches Earth in 8 minutes. Our atmosphere protects us.
The last was in 2012.

15. ü I wonder why colours are cold and hot
Warm colors are those that go from red to yellow.
Cool colors are ranging from blue to green. This division is
simply human feeling and experience is completely
subjective. A cool color and a warm complement each one.
However the energy associated with colors is reverse. The
red colour has an associated electromagnetic radiation with
less energy . The blue and violet colors has an associated
electromagnetic radiation with high energy.

16. ü I wonder what nebula is.
It is the interstellar matter. It’s formed by gases and
particles. Nebula emitting colour light related to elements
forming it. Swan Nebula contains hydrogen in green
colour, red colour of sulphur, and oxygen in blue colour.

17. ü Why does conos have colour?
Retina is at the back of your eye and it has light-sensitive
cells called rods and cones. The cone cells are sensitive
to different wavelengths.
Cones interpret the primary colors.
The cone cells are different in each animal species.
