  1. Criteria 1: Process Oriented/Strategic- the mechanisms that highlight innovative approaches to internal quality assurance which translate inputs into desired outputs and outcomes. The Award Panel will assess the degree to which strategic approach of each entry and the fit between the chosen strategy and the development of the project, as well as the integration of the various communication tools. This area shall also assess the strategic use of data to drive solution finding, execution and improvement Criteria II: Coordinated Execution and Student centeredness – The implementation benchmarks that are documented and represent standards above and beyond the usual internal quality assurance system; there is an emphasis on students’ participation, including input and feedback from students/stakeholders; Criteria III: Innovative and Leading Practice- the process demonstrates innovativeness and creativity; The Award Panel will assess the question of whether new technical or strategic methods were pursued and evaluate the creativity of the project both in concept and implementation. Criteria IV: Outcomes focussed – Results & Impact – the extent to which the outcomes for the innovation and/or best practice are aligned to the mission and objectives of the agency/institution. The Award Panel will assess the implementation process along with continuity and quality of communication or dialogue with the target group(s) as well as the management and internal organisation of the project. The Panel will also consider the demonstrated results of a project in relation to the stated targets, as well as the resources used towards achieving the results. Nominations must be able to demonstrate results and the difference that the individual has made based on the criteria. Recognition cannot be given for just „doing‟ something; recognition can only be given for the demonstrated achievement of results. Where possible, provide dates and show the period of time over which achievements occurred. Picture books, references to electronic links and websites are all useful referrals for evidence   In addition the committee will look for evidence that the innovation/best practice can be adapted by other agencies/institutions.
