As we begin our fifth year, our mission in North Minneapolis is more urgent than ever. Amidst the
growing achievement gap parents are looking to Hopewell Music to help build their bridge. Today
Hopewell Music is serving 225 students (75% of which are K-12 and living below poverty). Last year, we
welcomed 75 new students and added two new programs to include Early Childhood Music education
and group piano classes. In August, we moved to our new location at 4350 Fremont Ave N where
we could better accommodate our growing programming needs. Our parent and volunteer support
network, Hopewell Engagement and Advocacy Team (HEAT), helped organize events, fundraisers and
works to build the community atmosphere that has become synonymous with Hopewell Music. We
continue to grow at an exponential rate and in order to keep up with demand we are taking significant
steps toward our longterm health by growing our network of support. We are establishing strategic
partnerships with leading organizations, growing our Board of Directors and investing in talented
staff that will take us to the next level. This year our strategic planning process will refine goals and
position ourselves for sustained stability. Hopewell Music’s mission of providing accessible music
education is close to my own heart and I am thrilled to lead us through our next phase of growth.
Please join me and consider how you might help provide hope for even more youth in our city.
Sincerely,
Brianna Farah
