The Nelson Wellness Center is committed to improving the wellness of our residents. Many of our residents
benefit from the wide range of classes offered in our Wellness Center. In additional to our classes, some residents
may further benefit from some personalized wellness programming that involves one-on-one time with a trainer
or perhaps a small group program. If you think would benefit from a personalized exercise program, please let
the Wellness Department know. There will be an extra charge for the personalized wellness service, but the
benefits will be well worth the cost! We believe it is never too late to improve your health and wellbeing. The
Wellness Desk is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

INTERN SPOTLIGHT
Hello! I’m Brady Johnsrud and a senior at
Concordia College working towards a
Healthcare Administration degree. This
summer I have had the wonderful
opportunity of being an administration
intern at Knute Nelson. One of the
projects I’ve been working on has been
creating memory scrapbooks for the
residents in the memory care at Grand
Arbor. Families sent in photos of their
loved ones for me to put together. I
couldn’t fully understand the impact this
would have on the residents until I
personally gave the residents their books.
The smile on their faces as they paged
through old photos of themselves and
their families was an unbelievably
rewarding experience. I was even asked
to put my autograph on one! My
internship this summer at Knute Nelson
has been a great experience and has
reassured me that I’m going into the right
career.
THANK YOU, BRADY!!!
