In order to successfully obtain the
Investor visa, you will have to follow the
requirements outlined in this
presentation.
6. Duration
The temporary residency visa (Investor Visa)
will permit you to live one year within the
country.
After one year, you can apply for a
permanent residency permit under 3
conditions:
• Your business/investment in Chile is still
active
• You have spent at least 185 days in Chile
• You have paid taxes
How does the Investor Visa
work?
In general, you can obtain Investor Visa
when investing in Chilean stocks or
establishing a company in Chile.
What is Investor Visa?
Foreign-nationals who have
invested or plan to invest in Chile
can apply for Investor visa which
is part of a temporary residency
visa.

7. Requirements:
If you intend to invest or set up a
business:
• Business plan
• If you transferred capital to Chile,
documentation proving so.
• If you haven´t transferred capital to
Chile, documentation proving that you
own capital abroad.
If you have already invested or
started a business in Chile:
• Demonstrate transfer of capital OR
• Demonstrate that you possess capital
abroad
• Deed of a constitution of society
• Invoices of purchases/sales
• Declaration of Internal Sales Revenues
• Balance sheet, PL statement
There are multiple requirements in
order to obtain the Investor Visa.
These requirements depend on if you
intend to invest in Chile or if you have
already invested here.
