4. Background – the problem
• As computing power of mobile and wearable devices
increases, augmented reality is about to seamlessly
blend into the experience of using such devices, and
become part of our everyday lives.
• Outdoors, GPS and compass may provide the
orientation information required by AR, but at low
accuracy (meters or worse), not enough, say, for
posting a virtual “For Rent” sign into a specific
window. Indoors, where GPS is not available, special
pivots or markers must be physically attached to
elements in the scenes to facilitate insertion of AR
objects.

and realistically inserted into any subsequent images
or video of the scene, regardless of viewing angle or

sub-meter accuracy.
• EyeSpace does not need any special markers, radio-base
orientation devices such as WiFi or RF or any other external
devices

Eyeways Modules
EyeSpace, the patent-pending 4D technology, comprises three
unique components:
• 1. Automatic mapping of the venue - Full 3D mapping from
video footage provides the precise 3D position for each pixel
in every frame.
• 2. The spatial 4D data - AR objects are integrated into the
3D map to produces the final 4D data. Superimposed object
are projected automatically and realistically, with the
correct perspective, into the viewed scene.
• 3. Accurate positioning - A single image, taken from the
visitor’s cellular camera, enables the system to derive the
precise visitor position (sub-meter accuracy) and direction of
gaze, within the venue.
